With much sadness we announce the death of Mrs Nellie Mitchum
at Orkdale Hospital on Saturday
28th July. The Funeral will be at the Parish church on Friday 3rd Aug
at 10.45am.

Our housegroup using the Bible Societies Reel Issues format meets this week on Tuesday moved from the Friday we will watch 'Finding Neverland' - the
story of JM Barrie the author of Peter Pan. This starts at 7.30pm with minibus
collecting 7.15pm. All are welcome it's free and on our big screen!

Meeting Point August Trips
Wednesday 1st August Bristol River trip to the shops of longer trip on the waterways choice is yours on the day.
Late August Trip-we are planning a further trip-any ideas-how about a trip on
the new Aquabus in the Bay and into Cardiff let us know today!

At the meeting of the PCC we agreed to replace the Green Prayer Books with the New Church in Wales Red Prayer Book?costs are £8.00 each why not buy one for yourself and one or two or more as dedications. List in Church! ****************************
We also agreed at the PCC a Gift Day, which will be on Sunday 12th August
2007-It is sometime since our last gift day and is needed to assist our current
cash flow!

PRAYERS FOR THIS WEEK
We pray on this Sunday for the Diocese of Rhode Island in Province 1 of ECUSA
and their bishop Geralyn Wolf.
We pray for the Parish of Rectorial Benefice of Penarth and Llandough,
their Rector Canon Robert Donkin and Curate David Sheen.
We continue to pray for the Parish of Aberdare St Fagan's. We also pray for the Interregnum in our neighbouring Parish of Ystrad Mynach & Llanbradach. In addition we pray for the Parish of Gelligaer
We pray for the work of the church in Kenya, Katachwa Diocese.
Also our CMS link Mission Partners Ventzy and Zlatina Karavaltchevi.
In our world we continue to pray for Iraq, the Holy Land, Israel, The Lebanon, Gaza and for Afghanistan, for politicians, United Nations, the leaders of nations. The peacekeeping forces, the families of those who have recently died.
We pray for the safe return of Madelaine McCann and also for her family.
We pray for those affected by the floods in different areas of our nation For the sick - Baby Sam, Julian Kinor, Eddee Radzimierski, Wendy Williams, Margaret Williams, Ivy and James Mannie, Lorna and Arthur Marshall, Frances Minshall, Roy Thomas, Bernice Locke, Paul Mohamed, Edna Ford, Jason Carter, Nigel Thomas, Brenda Davis, Grant Payne, Colin James, Ken Saunders, Megan Francis, Emma Matthews,
toddler Matthew, Mary Speke, Alison Welsh, Nellie Graham Morgan and Diane Lewis. For the recently departed- Anne Williams, Jacqueline Scanlon, baby Ruby Louise Nichols, John Kesteli and Nellie Mitchum. Remembering also their families and friends at this time
