Our housegroup using the Bible Societies Reel Issues format starts again in mid September with the film 'Finding Neverland' - the story of JM Barrie the author of Peter Pan. All are welcome it's free and on our big screen! Watch out for details!

Meeting Point -August Trips
Thursday 23rd to Hay on Wye and Brobery House- Lunch in Hay on Wye
and a visit to Brobery House with the possiblitiy of Afternoon Tea there! We
have two minibuses going so still a few places-see the Rector today!

At the meeting of the PCC we agreed to replace the Green Prayer Books with the New Church in Wales Red Prayer Book?costs are £8.00 each why not buy one for yourself and one or two or more as dedications. List in Church!

Prayers For The Week.
We pray on this Sundayfor the Diocese of Santiago in the Province of the Phillipines and their bishop Alexander A Wandag.
We pray for the Parish of Llansantffraid, Bettws and Aberkenfig their Priest in
Charge Stephen Pare, Curates Gaynor Daniel and Olwen Parry.
We continue to pray for the Parish of Aberdare St Fagan's. We also pray for the Interregnum in our neighbouring Parish of Ystrad Mynach & Llanbradach. In addition we pray for the Parish of Gelligaer
We pray for the work of the church in Kenya, Katachwa Diocese.
Also our CMS link Mission Partners Ventzy and Zlatina Karavaltchevi.
In our world we continue to pray for Iraq, the Holy Land, Israel, The Lebanon, Gaza and for Afghanistan, for politicians, United Nations, the leaders of nations. The peacekeeping forces, the families of those who have recently died.
We pray for the safe return of Madelaine McCann and also for her family.
We pray for those affected by the floods in different areas of our nation For the sick - Baby Sam, Julian Kinor, Eddee Radzimierski, Wendy Williams, Margaret Williams, Ivy and James Mannie, Lorna and Arthur Marshall, Frances Minshall, Roy Thomas, Bernice Locke, Paul Mohamed, Edna Ford, Jason Carter, Nigel Thomas, Brenda Davis, Grant Payne, Colin James, Ken Saunders, Megan Francis, Emma Matthews,
toddler Matthew, Mary Speke, Alison Welsh, Graham Morgan, Lewis Coulbeck and Betty Radzimierski in the Miners Hospital.
For the recently departed John Kestell, Nellie Mitchum.and Hilda Ainsbury
